Egil Bovim

Egil Bovim is the Director of the National Centre on Emergency Communication, Norway. He is a specialist on Public Health issues in Norway and Botswana, having worked in both countries for many years as a doctor and medical officer. Before taking his current position in 1997, he spent two years as the Principal Primary Health Care Officer for the Ministry of Local Governments & Lands in Botswana, having worked there previously for four years during the 1980s as a regional medical officer.

Mr. Bovim received his M.Sc in Community Medicine (Public Health) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine/ London School of Economics in 1989. He is a Former Board member, TETRA Association and the Chair of the User Committee and board member of PSCE Europe.
